Learners and employees may need guidance in understanding the full range of Scottish qualifications and using SCQF levels and credit points when applying for new jobs or seeking promotion.

Employers may need help in using the SCQF as a tool when considering the training needs of their employees and to improve workforce development.

To help your clients, you may need further information on levels and credit points, which will help explain these specific features of the Framework.

You can also easily find out what qualifications and learning programmes have been credit rated using the database of SCQF credit rated provision. In addition, we have produced a number of publications targeting a number of client groups including school-age learners, lifelong learners (16+), parents/carers and employers.

The SCQF and Skills Development Scotland (formerly Careers Scotland) have also jointly produced a leaflet explaining the links between the services they provide to clients and the Framework.
