Becoming a Credit Rating Body

The SCQF Partnership Board agreed to the extension of SCQF Credit Rating Bodies in 2008.

Organisations that seek approval as an SCQF Credit Rating Body to credit rate their own qualifications and learning programmes are required to submit an application form with evidence that meets the three criteria:

  • Criterion 1: A Body of Good Standing

  • Criterion 2: Robust Quality Assurance System

  • Criterion 3: Capacity and Commitment

The criteria and process are given in full in the Quality Assurance Model: Guidance Notes. In addition, further information on becoming an SCQF Credit Rating Body is given in Section 8 of the SCQF Handbook: User Guide.

Organisations interested in becoming an SCQF Credit Rating Body should attend an information seminar. For details, see our events page.
